Online therapy for individuals and couples in Portland, OR.

Do you feel like you’re drowning in a sea of worry and stress?

I’m going to be honest. Anxiety sucks. You feel constantly worried and are always living in your head which causes you to feel exhausted. There may be a part of you that always wants to “get it right” and you judge yourself harshly if you don’t meet the expectations you have set for yourself.

You are probably noticing the areas in life where this is showing up for you:

  • Finding it hard to stay composed and centered

  • Always overthinking your every move and worrying if others are judging you.

  • Feeling tense and cut off from those around you as well as with your own emotions.

  • Experiencing uncertainty and self-doubt about the future ahead of you.

Therapy for Anxiety in Portland, OR can help.

FAQs

  • You are in control of the therapy session. Generally I will ask “what you would like to work on today?” During the session, I am focusing on building a strong and trusting relationship. The relationship between us is extremely important to me and to our work together. We will work to understand the processes and the “why” of how you do things. It is my belief that even the parts that seem to be doing us the most harm have positive intent and everything you do has a reason, our job is to uncover why and to show them compassion.

By understanding your history and underlying processes, we can work towards discovering new, more natural ways of being that align with your true self. You'll learn to show compassion to your defenses and uncover what has been holding you back. Together, we'll work towards a brighter future where you are in control of your life.

  • Deciding how often to schedule sessions is a personal choice and I'm happy to work with whatever feels best for you. In my experience, starting with weekly or biweekly sessions can be beneficial for building a strong therapeutic relationship and making progress toward your goals. As we continue to work together, we can discuss tapering off to less frequent sessions as needed. Overall, I recommend scheduling sessions at least every other week to maintain momentum and make meaningful progress toward your well-being.
